Two men who fired flares after their boat sank in Western Australia have been rescued by water police.
Western Australia police rescued two men from the Cockburn Sound waters after their boat capsized one evening in April.
The fact that the men had flares and other essential marine safety equipment, helped ensure their safe return, say police.
The Water Police Coordination Centre asked for a helicopter and rescue boat to attend. They also called on Marine Rescue Rockingham and Marine Rescue Cockburn to help.
The two men were in the water for 15 or 20 minutes. Neither was injured and they were taken to a Rockingham jetty.
