Three adults and three children were rescued after firing flares when their catamaran ran around in Hawaii.
They were rescued by Hawaii Fire Department after letting off two flares one afternoon in December to alert emergency personnel.
Their 24-foot catamaran became stuck on rocks north of Honokōhau Small Boat Harbor, reports BigIslandNow.
Emergency services responded and took the children and adults safely ashore, said the Department of Land and Natural Resources Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation.
